*Worldwide Photography Biennial Exhibition at The Borges Cultural Center in 2012
Located in the heart of downtown Buenos Aires, the Borges Cultural Center is an important cultural undertaking created by the Foundation for the Arts (Fundación para las Artes) a non-profit organization. The center was established in October of 1995. Occupying a space of over 10,000 square meters, the Borges is located within Galerías Pacifico—a prestigious building dating back to the end of the 19th century and considered a historical national monument in Argentina. The exhibition will be hosted in a venue of over 10,000 square meters of floor space and over 310 works that exhibition will be one of the largest photography exhibitions ever organized in Latin America. Prints will be auctioned at the end of the exhibition benefiting Save the Children and the local Foundation for the Comprehensive Treatment of Children Neurological Disorders (FLENI). Among many other works “Farewell” (image above) will be part of this exhibition which won First Prize in The WPGA Annual 2010 (The Pollux Awards), Category: Digital Manipulation ~ Single Image (NPS). Juried competition by Phillip Brookman, (Chief Curator & Head of Research, Corconan Gallery of Art, Washington DC). “Farewell” will be auctioned as Limited Edition, size of edition 5, edition No. 2 (2/5). Framing size (black frame, white mat) will be approximately 24” x 18” (61cm x 76 cm).
